Another last minute entry
Funny story - I’m actually watching this air before Week 5’s because I’m baking cookies and can’t go downstairs to watch the TiVO version. Sorry for the horrid lack of formatting, I’m typing as I go. Anyway, on to Week 4….
The Intro
I really like Carmen’s model. I think she’s lovely and has a strong walk. They’re handling model selection slightly different this year, with the swap option - I think I like it. It makes it much easier to keep track of and it’s quicker.
Oh God..Nina. She irritates me. Let’s see what she has up her sleeve…
Wow! I would not have chosen pleather…so hard to work with. Others you can deconstruct, but pleather is a material. Ew.
Ricky as a leader? Hm. I’m not sure how I feel about that. Since it’s very clear that Victorya is a natural leader.
I love the Jack/Christian/Kit team. Two of those three are solid favorites of mine and Christian goes in and out of favor with me more often than ponchos have been out of style.
Work Room

I think the concept of team leader is being well understood this season. The leader is the one responsible and thus far, it seems like people get that. It’s nice.
It was nice that they got to see the models early, especially with the problems that some of them (Kevin) encountered. The high waisted shorts concern me. I dislike the high waisted trend in general.
Ricky whines a lot.
Wow - the Jack/Kit/Christian collection looks fantastic. I hope it wears as well on a person.
I don’t think Ricky is correct in his comment about Victorya being passive-aggressive. I think she was very clear and direct. She could have brought it up earlier, that’s for damn sure, but when the issue was brought up, she was *not* passive-aggressive. I also like that she can admit that she’s not necessarily right (when they’re fitting the model).
I’m glad Kevin recognizes that he needs to work some magic to work. Nothing is worse than someone who is an issue and doesn’t realize it.
The more he talks, the more I dislike Steven. He’s just irritating.
Runway
Ooooh Donna Karan!
Collection 1: You know what…I like it! I’ wouldn’t wear any of it, but I like it.
Collection 2: Now these I would wear. the collection as a whole seemed very boring, but I would wear those clothes.
Collection 3: (Jack is wearing mascara) I dig it.
Collection 4: You know what - Victoya’s dress is the only one I actually liked at all. The others…eh. I am very proud of Ricky’s comments on the runway, though, because he took responsibility.
Overall, I’m bored.
Results:
Who Won: Collection 1 (And I agree with the comments that Heidi made about it being modern and accessible)
Who I wanted to Win: You know, I’m torn. Collection 1 and 3 were both good, but I don’t see anything outstanding in any of them.
Who Left: Chris - I am very unhappy about this. I feel that Ricky’s inconsistency should have gotten rid of him.
Who I wanted to leave: Steven. His outfit didn’t interest me and he just irritates me.
Final Thoughts
I’m going to miss Chris. I really liked him. So sad.
