The Intro

So, we start of with Heidi on the runway. Cute boots!

Personal shopping concluded, I have comments about the models.

First one is that I love, love, love the color of hair! I wonder if I can pull that off? However I HATE the way that walks. She’s all slumped over and *shudder*. I do think that is stunning.

Work Room

The first thing I noticed is that for a pair challenge was that there was very little drama. It makes me warm inside.

Tim Gunn was, once again, totally rocking the pinstripe. My god does that man own his suits.

I was quite surprised when the guest was SJP. I need a quite sidebar on SJP. I can’t stand her. She’s not terribly attractive to my eyes and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard (it has kept me from purchasing Sex and the City). So she irritates me. But the challenge was cool and I LOVE her mission statement from Bitten about quality not being a privilege etc. I also liked that, when she was looking at sketches, she was thinking for the bigger woman. So we’re kinda at neutral with her.

I wanted to smack when he started crying. Don’t cry!

’s sketch concerned me. Capes can be dangerous (do we remember Jeffery’s orange imitation of batman?) but SJP chose it anyway. Right then.

The low budget rather amazed me, but not as much as how much they did get for $15. Who knew?

The spitmarking grossed me out a little. Ew. ’s attitude is one I jive with - that everyone should look fabulous all the time. Likewise, ’s vision and demeanor speak to me, she’s very calm.

Runway

Heidi does love her smock and empire waist dresses…

Ok, on the dresses!

Despite my hatred of leggings, and ’s design was totally cute. I would definitely do the top.

Shocker of shockers, and ’s design was cute! Like really cute! I also like that the nutter can laugh at herself.

I hated the thing on ’s model. Yech. The idea is fine, but the implementation was just…oye. And it was see-through, which irks me.

Same with ’s. It was so 80’s with the sleeves. Not to mention, anything that makes a model look fat is going to make me look like an elephant. And he got defensive, which irked me slightly, but in true me fashion, I applaud how adult he was about taking the responsibility for his design.

I was totally bored with and ’s work. So bored, I didn’t even mention it in my notes! So bored.

However, I thought that ’s design was quite lovely. And she and seemed to be very nice together. Yay, lack of drama.

Finally, the only dress I would wear - ’s. It grabbed me. I would totally put that on and wear it everywhere.

Final Comments

So, much to my pleasure, doesn’t seem to the bitch she seemed in the opening commercials. I maintain my right to hate her again in 5 minutes, but she’s a little higher on my list.
