Better Late than Never
So! Thanks to the glories of DVR, I have now seen the PR Premiere. Wow. Just wow. In all the good and bad ways. I like to break it down by show segments, so we start with:
The Intro
Everyone arrives as usual. We plug the apartments, we get an idea of who is who and see a bit of their audition bios. So far, all is normal.
Off to Bryant Park to get the challenge and see Heidi and Tim. Tim is rocking his vest/jacket combo (which he really looks like he was born to wear). But even if you’re Heidi Klum, I hate stretch pants. Hate, hate, hate. I did think it was sweet of her to wish the girl happy birthday though. And I do like the challenge - while it’s fun to watch the designers make dresses out of corn, it’s even better to see what they’ve got out the gate.
Off they run, with
bringing up the rear and having a great attitude about it.
immediately gets a negative opinion from me for the whole grass thing. Then they’re whisked off to Parsons (which I love walking past).
Work Room
In the workroom, I confirm that
is nuts. Immediately, I love
’s dress - the color is stunning, the flow is my style.
’s attitude in turn irritates and entertains me. And honey, you are 21 years old, you don’t sass Tim Gunn.
Runway
Even with my disapproval of her tights, Heidi rocks the gold dress and her legs are FAB! She can stay. Her accent has gotten a little softer. I noticed too that Michael Kors is less orange than he used to be, but I fear Nina picked it up. Either way, the total orange count was the same.
I loved the colors of
dress. The plum and gold with the fabric he used - stunning. As I expected in the work room,
’s dress makes me very happy. And I liked his model too. I would totally wear
’s dress - the blue was lovely (and on a personal note, I have a love for big burly gay men).
’s dress was interesting to me, I really liked it, but it’s not my style. Her model had a kicky look too.
To the ones I’m less fond of…while
’s had a neat feel to it, I didn’t like the harem pants. I did not like
’s dress in the least - I think it’s sloppy and an utter mess.
’s dress looked like it was made of rip stop nylon, which we made our practice flags out of in Color Guard. Great for stopping traffic, but not in a good way. And finally,
pained me on many levels. The blue was stunning, the folly of the train seemed so overwhelming…sigh

Who I wanted to Win:

Who Left:
Who Should have left:
(though I’m glad she didn’t because I love her model)
Final Comments
I’m glad Simone is gone because her eyebrows pained me. PAINED ME.
Christian will continue to irritate me and entertain me, so be prepared for conflicting reports from me. I have a limited tolerance for that level of twink.
In closing, I’m horrid with HTML, so pardon any formatting errors.
